Arctic Monkeys – Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?

I always thought that the Arctic Monkeys were a result of Muse and The Black Keys having an eccentric English baby. Their grungy guitars and heavy looping bass, those electric drum beats and that oh so familiar raspy voice of lead singer Alex Turner, the Marlboro smoking boys of Arctic Monkeys are back in full force with their new album AM.

As much as I miss the fast paced sound of “I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor”, “BrainStorm” & “Crying Lightening”, AM seems to pull the band to a more mature, rhythmic direction. It’s a change of pace for sure, i’m just glad that my motto for a Rock & Roll band is still intact: Sex, Sleep, Play, Repeat.

For Fans Of: The White Strips, The Black Keys, Muse

PS. AM will be released September 10th
